Hey There

My name is Robbie, my artist name is King Kruzader.

i have always loved music since i can remember and in the past few years music has become more of a way of life and a form of therapy through expression as well as the artform in itself.

Predominately hip-hop but not strictly, i play the guitar and saxophone as well as write hard hitting lyrics that come from a place of overcoming pain from a difficult life.

All About Me

Born in 1993 i grew up listening to some of the G.O.A.T.S from Eminem to Wu-Tang and R.A Rugged Man to DMX (R.I.P) and everything in between, ive always had an eclectic taste in music dominated mostly by Hip-Hop, Pop, then some Rock and a bit of RnB if your feeling nasty "lol".

As a child i lived with the lead guitarist of "Alchemist" for bit, i saw behind the scenes, backstage and attended some of their gigs which could explain my early fascination with musical instruments, my love for music started earlier than that though, with my Mum, even as a toddler we had our special songs we liked to sing together and it wasn't "wheels on the bus" it was "Lightning Crashes" by Live among others.

I was taken from my family and put in foster care when i was about 7 years old, where i jumped from house to house never feeling loved or comfortable and always wishing to go home.

I would act out and get into trouble a lot, so for me, music was a brief escape from those feelings, whether i was listening to music or especially playing music, i wasn't trapped unloved in a home i didn't belong,  confused & angry,  i just was..... peaceful and in that brief moment of tranquillity, i felt full of hope & possibilities and like i could be seen as more than the crazy child no one seemed to want.

While in Foster Care I dabbled on the piano before committing to the alto saxophone and playing for 3+ years in the Parkes shire orchestra, performing at events such as "the Elvis Festival" and even "carols by candlelight" in front of a huge audience before i was a teenager.

after moving to the capital i had to leave my saxophone behind, i picked up the microphone and haven't put it down since.

After winning the "Starlight Music Competition" in 2019 and opening for "Mitchos the Menace" ive performed at venues on "George st and Oxford St" in Sydney and various others at both Sydney and Canberra events, most recently "Mic Check 2" at "Smith's alternative" with more in the works.

In the last few years i taught myself the guitar and have been expanding my skillset and even experimenting with new genre's more and more although ill always stay true to Hip-Hop.

Music is everything to me, Music is Life.
